CALGARY – In this extreme heat, police are reminding Calgarians not to leave children or pets unattended in their vehicles.

Police were called to a strip mall on Centre Street around 2 p.m. Sunday afternoon, after reports a man left a baby in a car.

A passerby called it in, alleging the baby had been in the vehicle for more than 30 minutes.

The man left with the child before police arrived on scene.

An investigation is underway.
