UPDATE: Missing girl and grandmother found safe

UPDATE: Yorkton RCMP say Aires Hotomanie and Patricia Mandeville have been found safe as of 8:15 a.m. Sunday.

YORKTON, Sask. – Saskatchewan RCMP are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing girl and her grandmother. Aires Hotomanie, 5, and Patricia Mandeville, 70, were reported missing Friday.

Investigators have determined they were last seen leaving a residence at Rhein, Sask. in a van at 3 p.m. Friday.

They have not been in contact with friends or family since which is not typical. Police do not have any indication that any harm has come to either.

Additionally, police are concerned because the Mandeville has some health concerns. She has difficulty walking and at times requires assistance.

Hotomanie, of Rhein, Sask. is described as aboriginal, about three-feet tall, with a thin build, brown hair that reaches to mid‑back and a mole on her right cheek. She was last seen wearing purple shorts, a pink tank top with spaghetti straps and pink flip flops.

Mandeville, of Winnipeg, is described as aboriginal, five-foot three, 170 pounds, with a medium build and short white hair. She was last seen wearing glasses, a maroon/ruby skirt, black long sleeve top and coloured elastics on her wrists.

RCMP say the van is described as a white Dodge Caravan with Manitoba license plate HCE 965. It has a black bra on the front hood and has coloured necklace beads hanging from the rear view mirror.
