Internet wisdom decrees “don’t feed the trolls,” but the Toronto Maple Leafs broke that rule on Friday and made a lot of new friends in the process.
The team’s official Twitter account fought back against an online troll with a series of images that called the user boring and suggested the troll log out of their account. Fans, the Montreal Canadiens, Winnipeg Jets, and Columbus Blue Jackets noticed the war of words and joined in, with people eventually hugging it out.
