WESTPHAL, N.S. – A 19-year-old man has been charged with two counts of attempted murder following a weekend stabbing that sent two male youths to hospital.
Just before 1 a.m. Saturday, police were notified that two 17-year-old male victims had arrived at the Dartmouth General Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police determined the victims had been stabbed in the Westphal area. By daylight, officers from the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division were on scene on Chamberlain Drive.
Greg Dylan Bacon of Westphal also faces one count each of possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, assault with a weapon, possession of a prohibited/restricted weapon, and aggravated assault.
Bacon remains in custody and will appear in Dartmouth court on Monday.
NOTE TO READERS: A media release from police originally identified North Preston as the location of the stabbing. On Sunday, RCMP corrected the release to state the incident happened in Westphal.
