MONTREAL – Police are investigating a suspicious fire at a business in Rivière-des-Prairies (RDP).
Constable Anie Lemieux with the Montreal police said officers received a call from firefighters around 3:45 a.m. Saturday morning.
“There was no one inside the building when firefighters and police arrived,” she said.
“Firefighters quickly put out the fire, but there was a lot of important damage inside the business.”
The blaze ignited inside the building on 4th avenue near Arthur Leveille street.
“We don’t know exactly how it started yet but our investigators are there to find out the circumstances,” said Lemieux.
There were no injuries and no suspects have been arrested.
