BERWICK, NS – Kings District RCMP are investigating after another nail was found in a potato in Nova Scotia on Wednesday.
At about 7 p.m. on Monday evening the RCMP received a complaint from a person saying they’d found a nail in a potato.
Preliminary investigation determined that the complainant had purchased two five pound bags of Griffin Russet potatoes from Foodland in Berwick, Nova Scotia on May 27. The complainant then returned the affected potato and the bags to Foodland on Monday.
No one was hurt in the incident.
The Nova Scotia RCMP Major Crimes Unit is continuing the investigation.
RCMP is asking that anyone with information about the tampered potatoes to call Crime Stoppers.
