Highway 97 single vehicle rollover in Lake Country

Travis Lowe/Global News

LAKE COUNTRY – A tow truck driver needed to call a tow truck in a single-vehicle rollover crash.

The driver hit the ditch Tuesday morning on Highway 97 in Lake Country. The vehicle ended up on its side.

“The driver indicated the back end of the truck suddenly kicked out. He entered the ditch which caused him to roll,” says RCMP Cst. Doug Marshinew. “We’re not sure if mechanical reasons or the (rainy) weather had anything to do with this.”

The flat-bed tow truck driver was not injured.

Marshinew says speed and alcohol are not factors in the crash.
