UPDATE: Calgary police announced on Wednesday, May 27th that Kayleigh Somers had been found safe and sound.
CALGARY – Police are asking for help from the public to find a 13-year-old girl who’s been missing since Monday after leaving a note saying she was going to school.
Kayleigh Somers was last seen at her Kingsland home in Calgary’s southwest at 5:30 a.m. on Monday, but never showed up at school.
Police say it’s believed she was at the Southland LRT platform with two young men and a young woman at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Monday.
Somers is described as Caucasian, 5’4″ tall, approximately 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Police say she may be wearing a black hooded top or a dark-blue mid-length jacket and rainbow hightop runners.
