EDMONTON – A man who was taken to hospital Thursday night after he was found unresponsive in the North Saskatchewan River has died.
Police said a bystander found the man near the Laurier Park boat launch around 9 p.m. The witness immediately called police and began CPR on the victim.
When EMS crews arrived on scene they took over the rescue efforts.
Police said the man was taken to hospital but were unsure of his condition Thursday night. On Friday, they confirmed he had died.
The incident is not considered suspicious.
