EDMONTON – Two separate crashes which were backing up traffic in the north and southbound lanes around 112 Avenue and Wayne Gretzky Drive are now cleared up.
Police were called out to the first crash involving three vehicles at about 2:45 p.m. Wednesday. Up until around 4 p.m., traffic was just down to one northbound lane, causing severe has become severe delays

Then while officers were dealing with that crash, another collision occurred in the southbound lanes of Wayne Gretzky Drive, causing congestion on that side.
Police had initially asked motorists to avoid the area this rush hour, but both accidents have now been cleared up.
It’s still unknown what, if any, injuries were suffered in either of the crashes.
