Sporadic Power Outages across Southern Manitoba

Winnipeg – Manitoba Hydro says sporadic power outages are happening across Southern Manitoba, spanning from Westman near the Saskatchewan border all the way to Northwestern Ontario due to the weather.

The main cause for the outages are caused by high winds and downed trees, hitting hydro lines.

There is not a number of customers without power at this time.

In Winnipeg, the hardest hit areas to see outages Sunday afternoon are St.Boniface and River Heights.

That includes Goulet Street, Kenny Street, Ellesmere Avenue and Carriere Avenue.

Crews are working to fix the downed lines as fast as possible.
