Brain Injuries: Are there long-term consequences?

KELOWNA – Nearly 600,00 Canadians are affected by it a year. Brain injuries are the leading cause of disability and death for people under the age of 44.

BrainTrust Canada held its annual Brain Injury Conference today. The event provides community support to individuals with brain injuries and family care givers. Health experts from across B.C. talked about a wide variety of subjects from traumatic and non-traumatic injuries, dementia and the need for early detection.
