TORONTO – A Toronto Transit Commission operator is facing charges after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a streetcar in March.
Police say the 80-year-old victim was hit near St. Clair Ave. W. and Arlington Ave. on March 20 just before 9 p.m.

The 27-year-old male streetcar driver faces a charge of fail to yield to pedestrian and careless driving.
He is scheduled to appear in court June 4.
