Raw video: Truck spills spills tar in downtown Montreal
MONTREAL — A clean up operation was underway after a tanker truck carrying tar overturned in downtown Montreal on Tuesday morning.
The incident took place at Notre Dame Street and De Lorimier Avenue at around 6:15 a.m. as a truck was pulling a tanker full of hot tar for a roofing company tipped half of its load into the road: more than 4,000 litres.
Montreal firefighters secured a perimeter and eastbound Notre Dame Street was closed for clean up.
No injuries were reported.
