KELOWNA–A mass Saturday morning workout is planned for Kelowna’s City park this weekend.
The hope is to break a Guinness World Record and stock the shelves at the Kelowna Food Bank.
Melanie Breitkreutz and Chelsea Harrison are fitness instructors that teach high intensity 12 minute workouts.
They’re hosting the free workout in the park, and asking everyone who joins in to bring something for the Kelowna Food Bank.
“We definately have high hopes in breaking the Guinness World Record,” says Harrison, “It’s now only 250, but we’re determined to get 500.”
They’re promising an effective exercise routine that anyone can do and a party atmosphere.
“There will be free Starbucks coffee, free food, face painting, music from Sun FM, just a free, fun, family event,” Harrison says.
The so called “Sweat Fest” gets underway at 9:30 on Saturday morning in Stewart Park.
