MONCTON – More than 20 students of a university in New Brunswick have been displaced after a fire in a four-story apartment building.
The Canadian Red Cross says the fire at the building in Moncton near the Universite de Moncton campus broke out around noon on Wednesday.
The Red Cross says the blaze started in a kitchen on the second level and triggered the building’s sprinkler system, causing water damage in several units.
It says residents will not be allowed to return for several days.
The Red Cross says some students are staying at a local hotel during the cleanup.
