Injured man found at Saskatoon motel dies in hospital

SASKATOON – An investigation has been launched by Saskatoon police after a 44-year-old man died Saturday morning. Officers were initially called to an injured person at a motel in the 600-block of Idylwyld Drive North.

Upon arrival, police were alerted to the victim in the parking lot.

The man was taken by EMS to hospital with life threatening injuries. He was pronounced dead around 7 a.m.

Police were seen investigating at Northwoods Inn and Suites Saturday morning.

Members of the major crime and forensics units are in the preliminary stages of the investigation.
