Lady Antebellum singer Hillary Scott escapes burning tour bus

TORONTO — A tour bus carrying Lady Antebellum singer Hillary Scott burst into flames Thursday morning on a Texas highway.

The bus was en route from Nashville to Dallas for the American Country Music (ACM) Awards.

Scott, who was on the bus with her husband Chris Tyrrell and tour manager, tweeted about the incident on Interstate 30 in Garland.

On Instagram, the 29-year-old singer shared a photo of the damaged bus.

“Thanking God for our safety and the safety of all of those who helped put this fire out and keep us safe,” she wrote.

Lady Antebellum, which also consists of Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood, is up for Vocal Group of the Year at the ACM Awards, which take place Sunday at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.
