WATCH ABOVE: Aerial footage following industrial accident in Vaughan
TORONTO – York Regional Police are looking for witnesses after a man died following an industrial accident in Vaughan Tuesday morning.
Police say the incident happened just before 9 a.m. at a trucking yard at 3627 Rutherford Rd. near Highway 400 after police received reports that a man had been pinned between a vehicle and a tree.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said in a statement investigators believe the victim, identified as a 79-year-old male Vaughan resident, was attempting to roll an inoperable vehicle on the property when he lost control and became pinned against a tree.
