KELOWNA — Kelowna RCMP have a man in custody following two incidents over the weekend involving an attempted robbery and purse snatching.
The attempted robbery occurred last Saturday at Safeway on Highway 97 where a man demanded money but left empty-handed.

Shortly after that, there was a purse snatching at the nearby Costco.
Police tracked down a vehicle witnessed at both incidents and tried to pull it over but the driver refused to stop.

The suspect vehicle was later spotted parked near the intersection of Gordon Drive and Harvey Avenue where a male was taken into custody without incident.
He’s facing several charges including failing to comply with a probation order.
The man’s name is not being released.
