WATCH: Red Wings forward Drew Miller gets slashed in face on ice

During Tuesday’s face off between Detroit Red Wings and the Ottawa Senators, a scary incident left a trail of blood on the ice.

Red Wings forward Drew Miller was slashed in the face by the blade of Sens’ Mark Stone’s skate.

It appears it was a freak accident, as Stone lost his footing and tripped, sending his blade straight across Miller’s face.

Miller skated off the ice immediately to seek medical help.

According to the Red Wings’ official blogger Bill Roose, Miller suffered two deep cuts around his eye.
