Rain and snow coming to Central Manitoba

WINNIPEG — Spring snow is on the way for Central Manitoba.

According to Environment Canada about 10 to 15 centimeters of snow is expected to fall Wednesday, starting during the day and continuing through the night.

The precipitation will start as rain but become snow by the afternoon when the temperatures drop. Environment Canada is uncertain exactly when the transition from snow to rain will take place and that could impact the amount of snowfall but they are confident in at least 10 centimeters.

To make matters worse a gusty wind from the north is expected to develop overnight producing periods of poor visibility from blowing snow.
