WATCH:  Surrey RCMP officers are releasing details today into a two year drug trafficking investigation that resulted in more than 60 charges laid against 13 people. Nadia Stewart reports.

A nearly two year drug-trafficking investigation by the Surrey RCMP has resulted in 13 people being charged with 66 drugs and firearms offences.

Mounties started their lengthy investigation in June 2013 by looking into the alleged drug traffickers based out of Surrey. Almost a year later, in September 2014, Surrey RCMP conducted a search and seized large quantities of drugs that included: fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, methamphetamine, MDMA and oxycodone; along with guns and money.

Over the last seven months the Surrey RCMP Drug Section has been working with Crown Counsel on getting the charges approved.

The people charged with over 36 counts of trafficking, four counts of possession of controlled drugs and seven firearms related charges are: Sophon Sek (Surrey), Mona Khodabandehloo (Burnaby) and Glen Hudson (Surrey). And Andres Naranjo (Surrey), Yaeil Jang (Port Coquitlam), Sonny Nguyen (Surrey), Francis Le (Surrey), Lester Ray (Burnaby), Dylan Herman (Delta), Harjoot Garg (Surrey) and Daniel Cluett (Surrey) were also charged with multiple accounts of trafficking.
