WATCH: Woman struck as car slides out of control creating domino effect in Rhode Island

Icy road conditions in Rhode Island wreaked havoc on drivers Thursday morning.

Police in Cranston, RI said a five car crash turned into an eight car crash as cars kept sliding out of control due to ice on the road.

An 18-year-old woman identified as Taylor Pernini was a part of the initial accident and was on the road surveying the damage with the other four drivers.

That’s when another car came barrelling the down the road and slid out of control on the ice before hitting a parked car, which then hit Pernini.

The dramatic incident was caught on the security cameras of a nearby collision center.

Pernini can be seen dashing across the street trying to avoid the car while other pedestrians escaped unscathed.

The collision center’s owner Dennis Gamba was almost struck in the same incident.

“Things definitely could have unfolded a lot worse,” he told WPRI. “It was ice. It wasn’t even slush, it was solid.”

Pernini was taken to the hospital to be treated and was released. She later tweeted that she was fine, but sore.
