WINNIPEG – More than 6,500 cars were ticketed and more than 1,600 towed in Winnipeg over a three-day residential parking ban for snow clearing, city officials say.
Snowfall last week prompted the city to impose a 12-hour parking ban using the Know Your Zone system from Feb. 13-15. Cars that weren’t removed from residential streets in snow zones scheduled for clearing were towed to allow plows to operate.
