Police investigate stabbing outside Saskatoon theatre

SASKATOON – A 48-year-old man was stabbed in downtown Saskatoon on Friday near the Scotiabank Theatre Saskatoon and VIP. Police say they were called to the scene just before 6 p.m.

MD Ambulance paramedics transported the man to hospital in stable condition.

Police say the suspect fled the area before they arrived. The Forensic Identification unit is assisting with the investigation.

What appeared to be blood was visible on the sidewalk outside the front doors of the theatre in the 300-block of 2nd Avenue South.
