Police investigate two incidents involving shots fired in northeast Calgary

CALGARY- Police are investigating after reports shots were fired in two northeast neighbourhoods.

Just after 2 a.m. on Saturday, officers were called to a home on San Diego Place NE.

When they arrived they found shell casings and a truck was removed from the backyard. Police say it’s now being treated as evidence.

It appears another vehicle was also hit by several bullets.

There was no sign of a suspect or suspect vehicle at the scene.

Neighbours said they heard three gunshots followed by someone yelling and then a black truck sped out of the alleyway.

They said a family with three or four high school aged kids live in the home and that they moved in just a few months ago. They added they haven’t noticed any problems and that the family seemed very nice.
