WATCH: 1-year-old boards bus all alone in China

WATCH ABOVE: Surveillance footage shows the baby board the bus by himself.

TORONTO – Passengers on a public bus in China were surprised Thursday when a one-year-old baby crawled his way on board seemingly all alone.

As the bus stopped to let passengers out, surveillance video shows the little boy wastes no time trying to get to wherever he was going. A woman following closely behind can be seen searching for any sign of an adult watching the child.

According to The Associated Press, the bus driver pulled over after getting the consent of everyone on board and called authorities.

Police were able to locate the child’s parents an hour later and return him home safely.

According to his mother, the toddler was playing outside his parents’ cellphone store when he wandered away.

“My baby boy was playing outside (my cellphone store) alone yesterday. In just two to three minutes, I couldn’t find him any more. We looked for him everywhere around, but failed to find him,” Mrs. Zhang, the baby’s mother, told CCTV.

There’s no word on whether or not the little tyke remembered his bus fare. But at least he was dressed for the weather.
