TORONTO — Canadian rock band Rush is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a tour of the U.S. and Canada.
The 34-city R40 LIVE tour kicks off May 8 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and wraps up Aug. 1 in Los Angeles.
In between, Rush will play hometown Toronto on June 17, Montreal on June 21, Calgary on July 15 and Vancouver on July 17.

Rush consists of Geddy Lee, 61, Alex Lifeson, 61, and Neil Peart, 62.
This is the band’s 21st tour. Tickets go on sale Jan. 30.
The band has sold more than 40 million records worldwide since forming in 1968 and has earned nine Juno Awards. Rush was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1994 and in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013.
Rush released a 40th anniversary box set late last year and will be honoured March 14 in Hamilton, Ont. with the Allan Waters Humanitarian Award.
