TORONTO – Premier Kathleen Wynne said she “certainly wouldn’t” go to Bill Cosby’s upcoming shows in Hamilton, Kitchener and London due to ongoing allegations of sexual improprieties against the comedian.
“There are very serious allegations against this man and certainly until those are sorted out I would certainly not go to a performance. So it’s up to the organizers to make those decisions but I certainly wouldn’t attend until it was sorted out.”
Multiple women have accused Cosby of sexually assaulting them and three have launched defamation lawsuits against the comedian claiming he suggested they were liars through his representatives’ statements.
Cosby has not been charged with any crimes and none of the allegations against him have been proven in court.
Since the allegations arose, there have been calls to cancel his upcoming performances in southern Ontario.

Film director Judd Apatow even took to Twitter to berate the venues hosting Cosby’s performances this week, asking whether “people still find him delightful after 30 accusers?”
The promoters responded saying they were contractually obligated to make sure the shows go ahead despite criticism.
