The death of a man at a Vancouver home has police warning drug users of the potential dangers of using street drugs.

Paramedics and police were called to a home on Dec. 28 after a 24-year-old man was found unconscious. Paramedics tried to revive the man but were unable. Two other men were also found in cardiac arrest at the home.

The cause of death has not been determined but police believe it stems from the use of drugs after finding Ecstasy and Oxycodone at the home. Early lab results showed the Oxycodone to be fake and instead contained the extremely dangerous and potentially deadly drug Fentanyl.

Police are urging anyone that witnesses a person in medical distress to immediately call 9-1-1.
