WATCH: We had some questions about Santa, so we put to our panel of experts: children across Toronto, of course!

TORONTO  – For a man who’s a million years old, Santa looks pretty good.

When you think about it, not that much is known about the man in red. But kids may have the answers. Global News recently asked a few kids what they thought about Old Saint Nick.

When asked how old Santa is, the responses covered a pretty big range — from 36 years old to a million, in fact. Or he could be 1009. Or 119. Who knows for sure?

But when the man in red gets some down time, you might find him reading letters from kids, feeding reindeer or eating cookies (might account for his somewhat plump appearance). Or he might kick back and watch Global News.

And who hasn’t wondered about how Santa gets to all the homes in one night?

“Because his reindeer are fast,” said one little girl. “And he doesn’t have anyone to fuss with.” Ah, yes. That makes all the difference on those long road trips.

As for Christmas gifts for themselves, these kids have some pretty interesting requests, including a monkey and an electronic dinosaur (we can only hope that it’s not life-size).

But one dad, it turns out, is really hoping for an iPad. Apparently one mother really likes chocolate.

“My mom? Twenty-nine million, trillion, thousand, million packages of dark chocolate.” That’s a lot of chocolate. But they say dark chocolate is better for you, so at least she’s thinking healthy.

These kids are good to Santa and his reindeer. They leave out milk and cookies and carrots. And we’re pretty sure that Santa doesn’t have a peanut allergy as one kid leaves out delicious-sounding peanut butter balls.

Merry Christmas!
