MTS telephone service restored following Monday outage

WINNIPEG – MTS says it has restored service to cellphone and landline customers following an outage Monday.

An equipment failure left customers unable to use their telephones for hours.

Backup equipment also didn’t work properly, causing network congestion that affected phone service, the telephone provider said.
