WINNIPEG – Manitoba Hydro says about 100 linesmen will be working through the night in Western Manitoba to remove heavy ice that is threatening power lines in that region.

The utility says about three inches of ice is clinging to lines in and around several towns north of Brandon.

Hydro crews will be working to remove ice in hopes of preventing power outages.
