Saskatoon Meewasin
Green Party- Tobi-Dawne Smith was born and raised in Saskatoon. She is a professional photographer. She spent eight months working with Camp fY refly, which helps foster leadership skills and resiliency in youth who are at the greatest risk of bullying and suicide. Accepted a role on the Board for Breaking Silence, an annual conference in support of the LGBTT2QIA community at the University of Saskatchewan. Smith is a canine professional, an environmentalist, third-wave feminist, and an activist. She studied philosophy at the University of Saskatchewan. She is married and has a daughter.
New Democratic Party (NDP)- (Incumbent) Frank Quennell attended the University of Saskatchewan and graduated in 1982 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and in 1985 with a Bachelor of Laws.From July 1986 to 2003, he practiced law in Saskatoon, and in 1995 became a partner at his law firm.
Quennell has also been actively involved in his community. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Northern Enterprise Fund Inc. and a member of the Board of Governors of the University of Saskatchewan.
He was elected to the Board of Directors of the Child Hunger and Education Program in 2001 and elected to the Board of Directors of the Saskatoon and District Co-operative Association in 2002.
He was first elected to the Saskatchewan Legislature in 2003 and re-elected in 2007. In the previous NDP government, he served as Minister of Justice.
Frank and his wife have three children.

Saskatchewan Party- Roger Parent lost to incumbent Frank Quennell in the 2007 provincial election by approximately 4 per cent (35.32 to 31.85 per cent) of the vote. Parent is currently a business consultant working with a variety of organizations around the province. He is a graduate of SIAST in Mechanical Engineering Technology and holds a Business Administration certificate from the University of Saskatchewan. He has been involved with several initiatives within the community, including the Saskatoon Homelessness Initiative Partnership, sitting on the board of directors for the Saskatchewan Economic Development Association and most recently as a board member for the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation. He has been a member of the Saskatchewan Party since it was formed and has lived in the Meewasin constituency for over 25 years with his wife Sheila.
