WATCH: Police officer uses cruiser as bus shelter for woman and child caught in rain

WATCH: Officer Ryan Kuzma’s act of kindness has caught the eye of social media.

The first day of December was cold and rainy in Weirton, West Virginia, but it was a typical work day for patrolman Ryan Kuzma.

Around 12:30 p.m. he spotted a mother and her child waiting for the bus in the pouring rain.

“I didn’t think it was fair for her or the child to be sitting outside, so I turned around, went back and offered for her to sit in the car,” said Kuzma in an interview with 7 News.

A bystander noticed the act of kindness and snapped a photo which was later shared widely on Facebook.

This is not the first time Kuzma has been seen helping others in need. The same Facebook post includes a photo of the officer helping a family change their tire in the rain earlier this year.
