HALIFAX – A woman was sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries when she was struck by a vehicle in a marked crosswalk in Halifax on Wednesday afternoon.

Around 1:30 p.m., the 64-year-old woman was crossing South Street when she was hit by a vehicle turning left from Queen Street.
Halifax Regional Police ticketed the 63-year-old male driver for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
