CBE trustees vote in favour of byelection in Wards 11 and 13

Calgary Board of Education trustees have voted in favour of holding a byelection in Wards 11 and 13.

The spot opened up in October when former trustee, Sheila Taylor, resigned to run in the Calgary-West provincial byelection race.

Trustees had to decide whether to call a byelection, or carry on as a six member board until the next municipal election in 2017.

The final vote was 5 – 1 with Trustee Pam King opposed.
