VANCOUVER – Premier Christy Clark is adding fuel to the fire over the recent anti-Kinder Morgan protest efforts at Burnaby Mountain.
It relates to two 11-year-old girls who, accompanied by a parent, deliberately crossed the police line at the protest site. They were escorted down the mountain and did not face any charges.
Clark has been quoted as saying “it’s not OK” to teach children to break the law. The parents of the girls have said they want them to learn about standing up for their beliefs.
One of the girls, Kate Fink-Jensen, told Global News at the time, “I don’t like what’s being done here. They don’t have the right. This is park land. They shouldn’t even be up here right now.”
