A 13-year-old boy was caught on camera allegedly stealing from a liquor store that he had already robbed once before.
In September, the youth received probation for breaking in and stealing 91 items from Frenchtown Liquor Shoppe in Monroe, Michigan.
This time, the eighth grader smashed his mother’s van into the store’s front doors and ducked in through an opening before stealing several bottles of liquor and leaving more than $5,000 in damage to the building.
According to the boy’s aunt, he drank some leftover liquor his family had left out after Thanksgiving dinner before he allegedly committed the smash and grab robbery.
He was caught by Monroe County deputies after a short chase and taken into custody at the Monroe County Youth Center.
