TORONTO – Police have identified two men who died in a small plane crash in Algonquin Provincial Park this week.

Investigators say the pilot, 25-year-old Logesh Lakshmikanthan, and his passenger, 31-year-old Ravindran Arulanandar, both of north Toronto, died from injuries sustained in Tuesday’s crash.

They say the crash happened because the plane ran out of fuel.

A spokesman for the Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre in Trenton, Ont., has said the pilot got lost and couldn’t find a safe place to land.
