VANCOUVER — A Super 8 Motel in Vancouver was evacuated late this afternoon, after a guest of the hotel was attacked with pepper spray inside the building.
According to Vancouver Fire and Rescue Battalion Chief Jeff Coroliuc, they were called in to confirm the substance was indeed pepper spray, and not another substance.
He said the guest answered the door of his room on the fourth floor, when a person sprayed him.
The building also had to be aired out.
Other hotel guests described choking and a burning in their throats.
There is no word on the cause of the altercation.
