SUDBURY, Ont. – A two-vehicle collision near Sudbury has left one person dead.
Police say a car travelling northbound on Highway 144 veered across the centre line and collided with a southbound tractor trailer on Wednesday near Sideburn Lake, north of Cartier.

The driver of the car, identified as Serge Tessier, 33, of Alban, Ont., died at the scene.
There were no other injuries.
Highway 144 was closed for more than seven hours for the police investigation.
