What’s open and closed on Labour Day

MONTREAL – Here is Global News’ list of what will be open and closed on Labour Day.

What’s open:

Public markets, including the Bonsecours Market

The Biodôme, Insectarium, Botanical Garden and Planetarium

Ecocentres

Garbage collection – residents should call 311 or check out their borough websites for schedules.

SAQ Express stores and most SAQ Classique stores

Villeray–St-Michel–Parc-Extension outdoor pools will operate on a reduced schedule. Most pools in other parts of Montreal will be closed.

All major bank branches

Most of the city’s borough and city offices

Accès-Montréal

Service Canada

Post offices

Supermarkets and large retailers

SAQs (not including Express or Classique)

Most arenas, cultural centres and libraries

The Complexe sportif Claude-Robillard

Transportation:

Parking meters and parking restrictions will be in force.

STM buses will operate on a Sunday schedule, but some will be cancelled for the day.

The Deux-Montagnes, Vaudreuil-Hudson and St-Jérôme AMT trains will operate on Sunday schedules.

No trains will run on the Mont-St-Hilaire and Candiac lines.

Laval and Longueuil buses will run on a Sunday schedule.
