WINNIPEG – Police have arrested and charged a suspect in a rooming house murder earlier this month.

Jeffery Campbell, 25, was stabbed to death in a suite in the 200 block of Austin Street North August 25th.

Michael Tyler John Boubard, 21, is charged with 2nd degree murder.

Police say the two men were doing drugs when a fight broke out.

“The accused proceeded to arm himself with a weapon and stab the victim multiple times in the upper body,” police say in a news release.

Boubard remains in custody at the Remand Centre in Winnipeg.
