EDMONTON – Kelowna RCMP have confirmed a man missing on Okanagan Lake is from St. Albert.
Officers say 64-year-old Brian Lakevold’s boat was found abandoned in the middle of the lake Tuesday night.
RCMP say a local couple was boating on the lake near Kalmoir Regional Park when they collided with an unoccupied Malibu boat.
Officers say the boat did not have any lights on. After searching the boat, RCMP located some of Lakevold’s personal effects and the keys to the boat.
