Fight at Saskatoon house party sends teen to hospital with stab wound

SASKATOON – A teen is recovering in a Saskatoon hospital after he was stabbed at a house party early Tuesday morning.

Police were called to Royal University Hospital around 2:15 a.m. after a 15-year-old youth made his way to the hospital for treatment for a stab wound.

He is being treated for what police believe to be a non-life threatening wound.

Further investigation found the teen had been at a house party in the 100-block of Paton Crescent when a fight broke out.

Officers went to the house and arrested a 16-year-old boy.

He has been charged with assault causing bodily harm and is scheduled to appear in provincial court Tuesday afternoon.

His name has not been released under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
