Homicide victim identified as 25-year-old Winnipegger

WINNIPEG – The man who was found stabbed at a Point Douglas home on Monday and later died was Jeffery Campbell, 25.

Winnipeg police identified Campbell in a news release on Tuesday.

Police went to the Austin Street N. home on Monday shortly after 5 a.m. after receiving a report that a man had been stabbed.

Campbell was taken to hospital in critical condition and later died.

Police ask anyone who has information about the stabbing to call homicide investigators at 204-986-6508 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-8477.
