HALIFAX – Police arrested a teenage boy who allegedly broke into a Dartmouth home on Monday night.

A woman on Acacia Street found the 17-year-old in her bathroom after being alerted by her dog’s barking.

She ran to a neighbour’s house before calling police.

The suspect fled, but officers tracked him to a nearby home on Mason Street and arrested him.

Police say they did not find any weapons, the incident was not violent and nothing was taken from the woman’s home.
