WINNIPEG-Winnipeg and parts of Southeastern Manitoba are under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch. Strong winds, heavy rainfall and the potential for hail is possible with the cold front that is moving into the area.
Environment Canada issued a warning that in one hour 50-75 millimeters of rain was expected in Winnipeg around 6:00 p.m..
Several streets have been flooded and several lights are flashing across the city.
A section of Polo Park Shopping Centre was under water near Sears at 6:30 Thursday evening. Crews roped off the area and were cleaning up the water shortly after.
And the underground walkway at 201 Portage is also under water.
